Social Policies
Social policies are generally designed to provide support to citizens. Women tend to be more vulnerable than men to negative economic and increasingly climate shocks. As such, they are more in need of supportive social policies that are designed to address their challenges. Given the large informal economy in Ghana and the undue burden of childcare responsibilities on women, we explore the implications of employment and care policies for Ghanaian women.
